PrimeHive
Our Process

No surprises, by design.

Most software projects go wrong in the gaps — between what was said and what was understood, between the demo and the deadline. Here is exactly how a PrimeHive engagement runs, what you receive at each stage, and roughly how long each takes.

  1. Discovery

    1–2 weeks

We start by understanding the business, not the brief. That means talking to the people who will actually use the thing, auditing what exists today, and finding the constraints nobody mentioned in the first meeting. Most of the value we add happens here.

    You receive

    • Written findings and recommendations
    • Prioritised scope with trade-offs stated
    • Fixed price and timeline
    • An honest view on whether to proceed
  2. Blueprint

    1–3 weeks

Architecture and interface design, decided before a line of production code is written. You see and approve the screens and the data model while changes are still cheap.

    You receive

    • Clickable prototype of key journeys
    • Technical architecture document
    • Data model and integration map
    • Delivery plan broken into milestones
  3. Build

    4–12 weeks

Two-week cycles, each ending with something you can actually use. You get access to a staging environment from week one, so progress is visible rather than described.

    You receive

    • A working staging environment
    • Fortnightly demo and written update
    • Direct line to the people building it
    • Source code in your own repository
  4. Launch

    1–2 weeks

Testing, migration and go-live. We train your team on the system before handover, and we are on hand through the first weeks when the real edge cases surface.

    You receive

    • Tested, deployed production system
    • Data migrated and verified
    • Team training and documentation
    • Full handover of accounts and access
  5. Support

    Ongoing, optional

Software is never finished. If you want us to keep maintaining and extending it, we offer a monthly retainer — and if you would rather your own team took it over, everything is documented so they can.

    You receive

    • Agreed response times in writing
    • Security patching and dependency updates
    • A monthly improvement allowance
    • No lock-in — leave whenever you like

How we work

Four commitments that hold on every engagement, written down so you can hold us to them.

You own everything

Code, accounts, domains and data are yours from day one, in your accounts, not ours.

Fixed price

Agreed before we start. If scope changes we tell you the cost before doing the work.

Direct access

You talk to the people building your system, not an account manager relaying messages.

We say no

If a project is not right for us, or not right for you, we will tell you at the first call.

Start with a conversation

The first call is free and lasts about thirty minutes. You will leave it with a clear view of scope, cost and whether we are the right team for the job.
